Spend any length of time researching healthy eating and you will have heard about the benefits of different superfoods. However understanding which ones to introduce to your diet can be a little daunting.

The great news is that we know all about superfoods – after all, it’s in our name! To help you decide which are right for you, we have came up with our list of the 10 that you should be trying to eat more of:

Wheatgrass

A gluten free, edible grass found as part of the common wheat plant. Wheatgrass detoxes the body and helps to regulate blood sugar levels. It is usually consumed as a wheatgrass shot or in powder form, which is available direct from Ibiza Superfoods. Wheatgrass is also part of our Fit Mix.

Blueberries

Blueberries are rich in vitamins and antioxidants and are purported to improve memory and brain function. It has also been claimed they prevent degenerative illnesses.

Beetroot

Spirulina 

Spirulina is a type of blue-green algae that is grown in warmer climates such as Hawaii and Mexico. It is high in protein, iron and vitamins B1, 2, and 3. It is said that consumption of spirulina can lower cholesterol, help protect against oral cancers, and improve muscle strength and endurance.

Goji berries

Flax seeds

Flax seeds are high in fibre, omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants. They can be used in granola, smoothies, or ground up and used in bread. Adding water to ground flax seeds can also be used as a vegan egg substitute.

Acai berries
